Mario Grk serves as the Vice President of Business Development at Cornovus Capital, where he oversees national originations and leads multiple production teams across Bridge, CMBS, SBA 7(a), and 100% SBA programs. He plays a key role in expanding Cornovus Capital’s national footprint—building client relationships, mentoring associates, structuring complex transactions, and driving loan closings across diverse commercial and owner-user asset classes nationwide.

Mario joined Cornovus while completing his studies at the University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business, where he earned degrees in Finance and Real Estate. After graduation, he transitioned into a full-time capital advisory role, quickly distinguishing himself through his analytical ability, leadership skills, and ability to communicate with clients and lenders alike. His leadership has been integral in developing internal production processes, building Cornovus Capital’s national presence, and expanding lender participation across Bridge, CMBS, and SBA programs.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Mario grew up immersed in small business ownership and entrepreneurship. His father owns a long-standing construction company, while his mother operates a generational high-end Italian restaurant on Cleveland’s Upper West Side—a fixture in the community. Working in the family restaurant and construction business from a young age, Mario developed a strong work ethic, a sense of accountability, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with people from all walks of life.

These early experiences continue to shape Mario’s approach at Cornovus Capital—where interpersonal connection, responsiveness, and certainty of execution define every client engagement. Known for his consultative style, attention to detail, and ability to simplify complex transactions, Mario has become a trusted advisor to borrowers, developers, and investors nationwide.
