With more than 25 years of transactional finance experience, Cornovus Capital founder Gerard Dehner — better known as Jerry — expertly guides clients across diverse capital markets, at every level of business management and development. He has personally assessed hospitality, retail, office, multifamily and enterprise transactions valuing more than five billion dollars.
Jerry specializes in breaking down barriers to success commonly faced by business and commercial real estate owners. Working closely, transparently and efficiently through the entire transaction lifecycle, he finds borrowing solutions that reflect both big-picture and granular market expertise, for optimal growth, refinance, acquisition and asset reposition.
Prior to Cornovus, Jerry founded Hyde Park Commercial Group, where he led business development and origination, working in almost every state. Amid the last decade’s economic downturn, Jerry spearheaded development of 30 regional referral centers that provided transactional deal flow in loan modification, enterprise and small business finance in the value-add sectors of commercial real estate, oil, gas, coal and field services.
A lifelong learner, Jerry studied business, finance and real estate at the University of Cincinnati and Ashford University. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, fishing, hiking and vacationing near water.
